About Me
Welcome to He Tore A Hamstring! However you found me, I am delighted that you did. The goal behind this site is simple, and that is to share my thoughts with you on a number of topics about which I am passionate.
More important is the opportunity to provoke discussion, comment and opinion, so please feel free to engage in debate using the comments system, provided kindly by Livefyre.
I am by day a Recruitment Professional – I do emphasise the word professional, but my more random musings on here should never be confused with my work.
I am a Social Media Enthusiast, and Sports Fanatic, and these will normally cover the things that I tend to blog about. More often than not no doubt, you will see my ‘Tweets’ appear on this page. Of course, you can see them directly on Twitter.
My inspiration was always been my fiancée Danielle who sadly passed in November 2009. She was always the one who could put up with my ‘tweeting’, random musings, and my love of cricket! She also happily understood that my typing finger or mouth might often engage long before my brain!
My background and portfolio of work includes:-
- Radio Glen (Southampton University) – Presenter (1992/3)
- Shout FM (Liverpool John Moores University) – Presenter (2001/2)
- Soul FM UK, Liverpool – Presenter on RSL project, guests including Mike Aherne and John Barnes (2002)
- BBC1 Xtra – Researcher for documentary celebrating 75 years of West Indian cricket (2004)
- Lashings Cricket Club – Live PA and Commentary on Lashings’ Cricket (2002/3)
- Work published on various websites to include Motorsport Online, Kop That, and Football Speak
So, hence, we have a fresh start, a new blog … but most likely an equal amount of random comedy moments. Please feel free to follow me on Twitter or add me on Facebook.
