Lovely writing, Ro, as ALWAYS. You know, I never really realised the true power of words until I started writing a year ago. Somehow since then it's been like someone has lifted the lid on an enchanted treasure chest. Each time I feel I've got nothing to say, I begin to write and it always amazes me what I find on the paper (or computer screen!) at the end of it. It's like freefalling.
What amazes me the most, however, is that it has taken me so long to find the healing power of words. After years of counselling and psychotherapy for various troubles, I now know that writing is the most therapeutic thing for me. Yes, I like it if others read what I have to say, but it's more about feeling "lifted" when I write.
I ALWAYS feel lifted when I read what you have to say. It is clear to me when I read your writing that you are as passionate about words as I am. You are very "comfortable" with words, Ro. You write so beautifully, so naturally and always manage to teach me something (even a tired, nappy-brained old bird like me)! You make me THINK and I love you for that!
