I think that this could be so constructively used - I think that there are a small percentage of Super Achievers who need the reach for everything approach, but the rest of us are governed by normal principles.

Hi Rohan, thanks for the mention in this stimulating piece. Everything in moderation is a good maxim to live by and I suspect popular psychology and the idealogy of living an inspired life are subordinated to this principle. Keep up the good work brother. Kriss

Jane, I am as ever humbled by your kind words - I try to write from the heart and with emotion, it would be a betrayal to my ideals if I did otherwise. It could have been myself or 74P who introduced you to Kriss - he is as big an inspiration now as he was when winning Gold Medals on the track.

Thank You sincerely x

PS - can you make sure he remembers to read this one too!! :)

Lovely, Rohan! I don't know, geezer, but I think you and I often think the same :-) I am all for positive thought and doing your utmost to create a happy life, environment, relationships etc. But, like you, I suffer (?) from a healthy dose of realism. Life often throws huge curveballs our way and it is up to us how we deal with them. No amount of positive thought will prevent tragedies and injustices happening.
I love how you describe goals and how important it is to to try and feel good about life by achieving one, no matter how "small". Making a person smile might seem like a small thing. But that smile, to that person, could make a huge difference.
You smile at me often, albeit it *virtually*. It ALWAYS makes my day and for that and the fact I can call you my friend, I am truly thankful. (And I am pretty sure you were responsible for introducing me to Kriss on Twitter - he has become a good pal, very motivating and extremely helpful in promoting my writing, he appears to be a fan!) xxx

There are a lot of people mate who are incredibly proud of you. Proud of the man into whom you have grown during a time of incredible adversity. We would all do well to remember this message.
