When Charity Calls, Give them the Shirt off your Back!
Posted on January 11th, 2010 | by Rohan |You may recall that in February, I was fortunate enough to be the winner of the Digicel Cricket Competition during the Adelaide Test Match.

The above shirt was gratefully received … at some point we shall chase David Bernard Jr.! I have completed several charity events in recent years, most notably the Great North Run of 2008, raising charity for the National Autistic Society. You can see the pain below …

On this occasion, I will be donating this signed West Indies shirt to The Poplars, a Residential Home for young adults with Autism, and part of the Autism.West Midlands Group. I am constantly inspired and amazed at the work that the staff do within this particular home. They really do give an amazing family life to the wonderful residents.
The Friends of the Poplars work hard with the Management Team to provide as many fundraising opportunities as possible. Please contact me for further information on how you can help. And please believe me when I say that even the smallest contribution, such as the above shirt, make the biggest difference to the home and the lives of the residents.
So it is with much appreciation that I thank Digicel for the arrival of this shirt, and ensure that it will be used in a great cause.
